The luminous aqua glass beads are hand-formed from recycled glass by fair trade artisans in Ghana, Africa. Each bead is shaped individually, using a cassava plant stem to create the center—burning away during firing and leaving behind subtle, organic markings. In the clear oval beads, you can even glimpse where the stems once met—tiny traces of the hands that made them.
Paired with freshwater pearls and hand-knotted leather, the piece flows into an intricately detailed medallion that carries a quiet strength and sense of history. Finished with an adjustable sliding bead for versatile wear.
